Intimate Pokemon Themed Surprise Party - Bel Air, California

It's kind of funny how you meet people sometimes. I met Steph of Wham Bam Events through a weird rabbit hole, first photographing the set design and filming of the Smashing Pumpkins Tour Imagery, used in their Shiny Oh So Bright Tour. From there, a reference to a reference led me to filming Jessica Simpson and Willy Nelson with Steph.

Through it all, we've kept in touch here and there. She reached out to me to photograph this surprise party for a client in Bel Air. Because surprises happen fast, we kicked it into gear and photographed the entire design as the sun dipped behind the trees. Steph's team works fast, and they were eager to adjust every detail to get the perfect photo.

The intimate party ran late into the night, with a 9 course meal served by Chef Cohan, a few 1994 reds to wash it down, and dozens of bottles of Ace of Spades champagne for desert.
